Building Human Connections with Content Marketing (going beyond ‘networking’)

When media becomes your through-way to building connections

Feels like only yesterday when the practicality of starting a YouTube channel, a podcast and a newsletter was an idea. Now has come to fruition. 

And what excites and energises me the most, isn’t the followers, engagement or the notion of putting myself ‘out there’. It’s the people I get to meet and build relationships with.

You see I always liked the idea of networking, but that’s where the problem lies. Adding/following someone on Facebook, LinkedIn or X… caps there. 

I wanted to dig deeper.

I want to KNOW who the human behind the job title is. There must be more.

And that’s the main insight I’m learning from content marketing. Whether it’s people I get to speak with on an impromptu Google Meet, a podcast interview OR a simple DM on LinkedIn. 

I get to see the beauty and real value of content. It’s a way to connect with someone. Truly find common ground and have some form of support system in these rapid times we’re all in. 

No hate on content creators looking to solely scale their followers, I’m just playing a different game. Onto you.
